  • Narrative medicine at Kungälv hospital

    [11 Aug 2016] On November 25- 26th, a workshop on Narrative medicine will be organized at Kungälv hospital and Teater Uno in Gothenburg. At Kungälv hospital, the medical ward has been working with a new method for patient rounds, person-centered patient rounds, since 2010. This is an effort to improve the quality at the ward both from the patients' and the staff's, perspective. The method is referred to as the "Second round" and is an example of narrative medicine. In the workshop, a world-leading expert on Narrative medicine, Professor Rita Charon, MD and PhD from Columbia University, New York City will speak.

  • Life filming - Grief after the loss of an infant

    [11 Aug 2016] A documentary film workshop led by filmmaker Karin Ekberg is currently being produced. The project consists of a number of documentary films that depict people who lost a child in close connection with the birth. The theme is the difficult and complex grief that these parents are going through. The project is intended partly to show and tell about the trauma. It is also meant to serve as a possible tool for grief.
