The Centre for Person-Centered Care (GPCC)

Person-Centered Care has a focus on the person, not the disease, and takes the vantage point of the patient's own apprehension of his/her situation. The aim is to make care and treatment more personal and to understand behaviour and symptoms from the individual patient's perspective. In order to do this, we need to start from knowledge of the patient's life patterns and priorities.

GPCC is a multi-disciplinary research centre to which hundreds of researchers are affiliated. The comprehensive objective is to support and carry out research within the research field of person-centered care.

Project manager: Inger Ekman
GPCC has been established with support from the government's strategic drive for health care research.
