Religion, Culture and Health

The research programme Religion, Culture and Health problematises culture and health in an existential context. Within the confines of people's interpretation of life, there is study of how contemporary political, social and religious conditions for ”culture” and ”health” are conceived and used.

Religion, Culture and Health is a multi-disciplinary cross-faculty programme which unites literature, political science and theology and takes place within the confines of the University of Gothenburg's profile field of Culture and health.

The research programme has three themes:

  • Fiction, play and health

  • State, religion and health

  • Existence, therapy and health
